These are lumbar cushions made from vintage sakabukuro bags. Sakabukuro are bags used as a filter in the process of making sake. Originally a natural cotton color, the cloth is dyed with persimmon tannin during the sake-making process. These cushions feature original boro-type stitching and contemporary interventions.
